A weak acid is then applied to your tooth to open the pores in your enamel to ensure a strong bond. Your tooth is rinsed and dried before the composite resin material is placed on it, which has been previously shaded to match your enamel. A special light is used to quickly harden it to reduce your time in the dental chair.
